About the Client

Decor Mint is part of one of the largest digital printing houses in Central Europe. The brand's ambition is to become a leader in the sale of wall decorations in Poland and Europe. The key element that sets Decor Mint apart is its carefully selected proprietary collection.

About the Project

The project's main goal was to improve the user experience on the Decor Mint and introduce the new, modern UI. My task begins with the research and interviews, to unveil the pain points of users, and through the workshops and brainstorming sessions work on the solutions.

Problem Statement

How might we reduce the friction of browsing and choosing a single motif from a catalog of thousands of patterns?

Process

01

Research and competitive analysis.

02

Interviews with the company's Customer Support team and clients.

03

Workshops and brainstorming sessions with the Decor Mint team.

04

Wireframes, sketches, user flows, and lo-fi and hi-fi designs to prove the concepts.

05

Interactive prototypes for testing on clients and team members.

06

Final designs.

Research & Wireframes

The process started with user research, competitive analysis, and building low-fidelity wireframes to map out the ideal user journey before committing to visual design.

Favourites: The New Version of a Wishlist

In its offer, Decor Mint has thousands of photographs and graphic motifs, and that huge number overwhelms potential clients.

Problem

A vast offer is overwhelming for a user. They should be able to narrow down the selection of their favourite motifs.

Solution

Introduced the new version of the wishlist. I've added the ability to collect and sort the selected motifs in editable folders. With this solution, users can group their favourite motifs and narrow their final choice to a few visible in one place.

Product Information on the Product Page

Despite its visually appealing design, the product information section did not provide sufficient information. Interviews with the customer support team confirmed that customers often asked for information about the product, indicating that they were not visible in the previous version.

Problem

Information about the product on the product page is unclear and easy to miss.

Solution

I've listened to the Customer Service team and selected the data based on frequently asked questions by clients. I increased readability by providing a simple and transparent table below the product preview.

Seamless Shopping Experience Between Products and Devices

Decor Mint had an issue with a consistent shopping process. Each product in the offer had a different order process, making it hard for users to adapt. Another problem was significant differences in display on mobile devices.

Problem

Inconsistency in the shopping process and issues with display on mobile devices.

Solution

Designed a consistent product configuration card with a clear ordering path. The configuration card displays identically on both mobile and desktop devices.

Style Guide

For the Decor Mint project, I developed a basic style guide to ensure a consistent look and user experience as the brand evolves in the future.
